EDITORIAL POLICY
Editorial and publication policy
Last updated: 13 August 2026
This policy applies to the unified photo exhibition and archive made only from Mizukusa Shoten’s historical collection.
1. Publish only the shop’s past photographs
The public archive is limited to photographs from Mizukusa Shoten’s past. Present-day street photographs and unrelated material are not included.
2. Preserve provenance
Each photograph keeps its archive number and confirmed source record. The public site uses a reviewed publication copy; original files remain outside the public server.
3. Label evidence and interpretation
The unified photo exhibition and archive distinguishes visible evidence, surviving notes, testimony, editorial interpretation and unconfirmed details. Unknown facts are not filled in by guesswork.
4. Review photographs before release
Before a photograph appears, we review publication rights, privacy, provenance, wording and duplication. If the evidence is incomplete, the image remains private or the relevant detail remains marked as unconfirmed.
5. Corrections and review dates
Corrections should identify the archive number, supporting source and date. We keep uncertainty visible until the evidence has been reviewed, and show the review date when this policy changes.
6. Newsletter retirement
Email newsletters and the Daikanyama Letter have ended. New sign-up, unsubscribe requests, scheduling and sending are disabled. Legacy consent and delivery records are retained only as needed for law, audit, security and support.
